Located in the heart of Indonesia’s Coral Triangle, Gorontalo offers world-class diving
with unmatched biodiversity. Along our southern coast lies the continental wall of
Sulawesi, which plunges to depths of four kilometers. Ancient volcanic flows and
limestone coral uplifts create dramatic underwater landscapes. Gorontalo is renowned
for its vibrant hard coral reefs, endemic marine life, and diverse diving experiences.

CORAL WALL DIVING
ALONG THE ABYSS
Deep blue waters meet pristine coral walls along many dive sites here. Named “Indonesia’s best-kept secret” in 2006 by *Asian Diver* magazine, Gorontalo’s walls offer stunning drop-offs, overhangs, and rich marine biodiversity, including Salvador Dali sponges.

PINNACLE DIVING
TOWERING CORAL PILLARS
Gorontalo’s pinnacles rise dramatically from the seafloor. Divers weave among multiple
pillars. One pinnacle resembles an island submerged beneath the waves. Here are three dive sites where pinnacles dominate the underwater landscape.

SUBMERGED POINT DIVING
FISH ACTION ZONES
Unique to Gorontalo are pyroclastic lava flows that poured into the sea during the Eocene Epoch. Corals and giant sponges now cover these submerged points. Long-shore
currents hit them, attracting schooling fish and passing pelagic marine life.

EASY & BEAUTIFUL
Gorontalo’s coral slopes are ideal for newer divers and underwater photographers. Unlike vertical walls, slopes offer a natural reference point while showcasing pristine coral gardens teeming with life. With mild currents and excellent visibility, these sites are perfect for relaxed exploration.
